The word "grateful" means "thankful." There are many things I am grateful for. I am grateful for my health, my family and my friends. I am grateful that I have work. I am grateful for all the ways that people treat each other well. What are you grateful for?

If I could, I would! (And I did....) make a new page to help you understand how to talk about "What if..." situations. Go to the Grammar section, make sure Verbs: Take action! is expanded, and click Conditional Tenses.

posted Apr 11, 2012, 10:03 AM by Laura Landy

In English, we use "do" and "make" in many expressions. You make the bed, but do the dishes. She does her homework while he makes dinner. It is confusing! I made a page for you with links to excellent pages, videos, and quizzes to help you learn about it. It is under the new page English Expressions. Here is a link to the Do or Make? page.
